About Us
The GAHS is non-profit animal shelter providing animal services for 12 communities in the Androscoggin, Oxford and Cumberland County region.
Our Mission: The GAHS enriches lives; supporting and engaging the community by providing effective, accessible and innovative services and advocacy for animals.
How we pursue our mission:
• We shelter companion animals in need and place them in loving homes.
• We provide information to our community to promote humane treatment for all animals.
• We provide community support programs to help people provide better lives for their pets.
• We expand access to essential veterinary care and behavioral support for companion animals.
• We prioritize reunification of lost pets with the families who love them.
