About Us

Founded in 1965, Community Concepts is a Community Action Agency and a Maine nonprofit organization that provides free or affordable resources to move western Maine residents and businesses forward.

Our mission is to strengthen individuals, families and communities in Western Maine by providing diverse programs, by engaging in strategic partnerships, and through advocacy that addresses the barriers to promote economic opportunity for all.

Our programs focus on six key areas: children and families; homeownership; home & energy improvement; transportation; small business lending and support; and workforce development.
