Homelessness & the L/A Community
Homelessness and the Lewiston-Auburn Community:
Can We Move Forward Together?
Homelessness puts an enormous strain on a community.
The sorts of things an unhoused person must do in order to get by often place significant burdens on residents and businesses.
On the one hand, we all want to be compassion. On the other, it's reasonable to want clear sidewalks, clean parks, and to be able to maintain the area outside on one's storefront.
Are we doomed to be in perpetual conflict or are there ways we can move forward as a community?
Join us for a lunchtime presentation and conversation with Paul Schofield, professor at Bates College.
