Join LA Metro Chamber in a solution-oriented discussion for addressing the shifts in operations required to adapt to Maine’s cold season. Maine’s restaurants and bars have dealt with significant revenue losses, new guidelines, and unexpected shifts in operations related to phases of reopening as a result of the pandemic. Many have relied on adding outdoor seating to survive these challenging times, which will become harder as Maine’s cold weather bares down on customers.
This roundtable will focus on the key areas directly affecting your business model and operations: customer behavior, measures to remain sustainable, physical distancing options, adaptations of outdoor space into cold weather options, functional separation options, and advance notice for operational shifts. The opportunity to provide questions and suggestions in advance will be provided to all who register for this virtual seminar.
This discussion is a shared effort by the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce, Greater Bangor CVB and Visit Portland to ensure owners and operators of bars and restaurants inform the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development’s work to propose solutions and address cold weather guidance for this industry. Information from this discussion will be actively used by DECD to inform their recommendations to the Administration and Public Health team advising on support and guidance for the industry.
