The 1st Series in the Business Lab, Ignition, is a hands-on program designed to give aspiring entrepreneurs the essential knowledge and confidence needed to launch a successful venture. It is proudly presented by the LA Metro Chamber, and draws on its long history of successful programs, and its extensive network of business contacts and partnerships.

This intensive three-class series is designed to give you a comprehensive foundation for your business. Attendees leave with foundational knowledge, tangible tools, and key connections to turn a business idea into a viable plan and a functioning startup.
Class 1: Foundations | October 6th | 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Get started by defining your business mission, vision, and legal structure.
Class 2: Financials & Operations | October 20th | 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Dive into the numbers. We'll cover pricing strategies, revenue models, and basic financial projections.
Class 3: Sales, Marketing & Talking About Your Business | November 3rd | 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Master the art of attracting customers, establishing your brand, and confidently discussing your business.
Optional Session: How to Talk About Your Business | November 17th | 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
This session is dedicated to helping you gain the confidence to talk about your business in any setting. It's a pre-pitch to help you with partners, vendors, and customers.

Registration includes: a workbook, materials (digital and printed), as well as light refreshments for each class. Completing this series gives you streamlined registration and discounted pricing for Series 2 - Catalyst and Series 3 - Ascent.
A Note on Participation
The Business Lab is designed as a collaborative, hands-on experience. The value you get from this program is directly tied to the effort you put in. To get the most from this experience, you will connect with your mentor and/or advisor in the week between classes, attend classes prepared, and meaningfully participate during the classes. Unfortunately, refunds will not be given for missed classes - though our team will work with you to cover missed material in the unfortunate event of an emergency that requires you to miss class.
About LA Metro Chamber’s Business Lab
The Business Lab is a comprehensive, three-series program presented by the LA Metro Chamber to foster a more resilient and thriving local economy. It empowers entrepreneurs with the knowledge, network, and resources needed to build and scale successful ventures, bolstering them and this region’s reputation as a pivotal area of new business growth. The program is open to all community members, not just Chamber members.
The Business Lab is delivered through three distinct series that can be attended individually, or stacked for a complete experience, and built to meet entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey:
Series 1: Ignition (For New and Undeveloped Businesses)
Outcome: Attendees leave with foundational knowledge, tangible tools, and key connections to turn a business idea into a viable plan and a functioning startup.
Timeline: Fall Cohort
Series 2: Catalyst (For New, Growing, and Established Businesses)
Outcome: Attendees leave with developed strategies for scaling, increasing profitability, and securing a substantial market presence, and the key connections to catalyze their growth.
Timeline: Spring Cohort
Series 3: Ascent (For Growing and Established Businesses)
Outcome: Attendees leave with a refined pitch for their next stage of growth, a polished pitch presentation, and the practice necessary to pitch with confidence.
