About Us

Tri-County Mental Health Services (TCMHS) is a vital part of the healthcare system in Androscoggin County, and reaches into a vast region of Maine. More than 10,000 people rely on our programs and services in an area that includes some of the most urban areas (Lewiston/Auburn) and some of the most rural and isolated communities of the western mountain region. Our clinics in Rumford, Oxford, Bridgton, Lewiston, and Farmington are the base for many of our services. We also reach into homes, schools, hospitals, businesses and other community locations. Services include Behavioral Health Homes, Outpatient Counseling, Care Coordination, Substance Use Disorder Treatment, Groups, Integrated Primary Care, Psychiatric Services, Residential Programs, Day Services for people with intellectual and development disabilities and autism, and more. TCMHS has been serving Maine people for more than 60 years. TCMHS’ mission is to offer hope to the people of Maine by providing trauma-informed, integrated services that promote whole health and wellness.
Today, the agency employs more than 300 people and has an operating budget over $20 million annually. We offer walk-in, same day services at most of our locations. For more information, visit our web site at www.tcmhs.org or call us at 1-888-304-HOPE (4673).
