About Us

For over forty years, Thayer, LLC has been providing Maine with a complete range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing and refrigeration solutions. Thayer is proud to offer the best in design/build/maintain contracting services.

Thayer Corporation was founded in 1981 by Daniel and Richard Thayer. The company was built on one primary core value; “To provide unparalleled customer service to the HVAC Design/Build Industry.” Within a short time, and because of the company’s commitment to customer service, Thayer Corp. emerged as one of the largest, most successful HVAC companies in the state of Maine.

Only about 1 in 100 contractors meet the strict requirements it takes to be a part of Linc Service; In 1992, Thayer became a Linc Service franchise and is still the only one in Maine. Linc’s advanced business practices proved an instant success, yielding excellent growth for Thayer and further setting them apart from competitors.

In June of 2021, Dan Thayer sold Thayer Corp. to BCTS of Birmingham, AL. Greg Marles now serves as President of Thayer, LLC a BCTS Company. So, when you see Thayer, LLC – a BCTS Company, it’s still the Thayer Corporation you have been working with, just a change in our name to reflect our new partnership with BCTS.

Thayer, LLC operates from its corporate office and fabrication facility in Auburn, Maine. Thayer serves the entire state of Maine, with more than 60 employees and a fleet of over 40 service and installation vehicles dispatched throughout the state.
