Join Maine Department of Labor's Regional Director Mary LaFontaine and Organizational Development Practitioner Bill Maxwell for a lively hour that explores proven ways to succeed. The session will discuss why leadership teams come first\, how clear processes can vitalize\, and what can be created for ongoing achievement. The only requirements from participants are an open mind and a willingness to share your ideas. You will take away strategic next steps for your organization.\n\n\n\nPresented by:\n\nBill Maxwell\, Organizational Development Practitioner\, Bill Maxwell and Associates\n\nMary LaFontaine\, Regional Director\, Maine Department of Labor\n\n\n\n At Bill Maxwell and Associates\, Bill promotes realistic optimism as an educator and coach. With a focus on leadership and building trust in teams\, he believes leadership is better described as communityship: "We're in this together to achieve together." Additionally\, he is a part time instructor at the University of Southern Maine in the Leadership and Organizational Studies Department. Bill has presented locally\, nationally and internationally on a variety of topics\, including Leadership and Change\, The Leader's Journey\, and Detoxify Your Workplace. \n\n \n\nMary Kozicki LaFontaine\, Regional Director of the Southern CareerCenters\, has over twenty-five years' experience in the private and public sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Masters in Adult Education from the University of Southern Maine. Mary's work experiences are broad but most enjoys working with businesses on their recruitment\, retention and training strategies. \n\nHR Thursdays: Best Practices for Businesses with Employees\n\n\n\n \n\nHR Thursdays are presented in partnership with the LA Metro Chamber\, Central Maine Human Resource Association and the Lewiston CareerCenter and offer employers resources and tools to help gain a competitive edge. Presenters will share best practices to businesses owners\, HR staff and hiring managers in order to create meaningful recruitment\, training\, and retention strategies. HR Thursdays allow participants\, whether employers of one employee or 1500\, gain information needed to survive the labor shortage while giving tangible\, and usable\, tools and resources.
