Maine Music Society Heritage Holidays Concert
On December 8 and 9 at the Gendron Franco Center, the Maine Music Society Chorale will present its traditional Heritage Holidays concert. This year the 60-member Chorale will focus on Christmas carols and Chanukah songs from around the world. Imagine the sounds of favorites like “Silent Night,” “Y’mei Chanukah” and “Our Master, Lord Jesus” each sung in its intriguing original language. While the majority of the songs will be in English, you’ll hear well-known and beautiful melodies in French, German, Polish, Hebrew, Spanish, and Latin but, not to worry, translations will be provided. Keeping with tradition, the concert will end with everyone joining in to sing a round of festive Christmas carols. Celebrating our heritage with the Maine Music Society Chorale has become a beloved tradition in the L/A area, and you won’t want to miss this highlight of the concert season. There’ll be music for everyone guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit. Come usher in your holiday joy with this extraordinary seasonal event! For a preview of what’s in store, listen in to John Corrie and Susan Trask on 105.5’s Breakfast Club on Tuesday, December 4, at 8:00 a.m. Sponsored by: Gleason Media, Liberty Mutual, Maple Way Dental, Androscoggin Bank, Cornerstone Wealth Planning, Paris Farmers Union and Rowe of Auburn.
