Housing and Economic Development: The role of rental and single-family real estate in regional economic growth
Join our speakers for a discussion about trends in the multifamily and single-family real estate market, and the potential impact on regional growth. The pandemic has shifted home buying behavior, and Maine has become the 3rd highest state of in-migration of new residents. The pressure on housing inventory, market prices, and gaps in housing will be discussed, and President + CEO Shanna Cox will set the stage for the importance of housing in economic development goals and growing the local economy.
We will be joined by Dava Davin from Portside Real Estate Group, who will share information about the Single Family real estate market in our region and Maine. Brit Vitalis from the Vitalius Real Estate Group and the Southern Maine Landlord Association will cover trends and projections in the multi-family market. Both Brit and Dava are members of the Maine Real Estate & Development Association.
