HR Thursdays ~ Accountability: The Key to a High Performing Organization
Of the many factors considered in making employment decisions, on-the-job performance is the most important and possibly the most critical. The efforts you make to consistently hold employees accountable will be visible and have a direct effect on employee performance and the performance of the organization. Whenever your employment decisions are clearly and specifically related to job performance, your decisions are much more likely to be accepted by your employees. Additionally, the motivational power of your reward system is increased, the need for third-party intervention is diminished, and your exposure to employment-related claims and lawsuits is reduced.
