April 2019 LA Metro Chamber Breakfast for Dinner at the Gendron Franco Center!

It is all about fun in April and playing April Fools with our events.
Join us for our April 18th Breakfast at Gendron Franco Center!
On Thursday, April 18th, we’ll have BREAKFAST FOR DINNER along with our regular speaker program at the Gendron Franco Center from 4:45PM-7:00PM.
Grab a drink and do some networking before the programming starts. It’ll be just like breakfast, but at dinner! We will be introducing new members, sponsors, having a speaker, 50/50 and door prizes!
So, no fooling, we are mixing things up in response to some Chamber investors who want to attend our programs but can’t make the usual times.
This month's speaker:
Tom Hinman, Market Manager Biomedical Division
American Red Cross
Tom has been with the American Red Cross for 5 years. In his position he is responsible for blood donor recruitment for 10 donor centers along with 25 regularly scheduled monthly operations in Northern New England and Eastern MA. Tom specializes in working with business leaders to create programs that help with employee retention. He does this by working with local companies and organizations to set up blood drive recruitment programs that encourage employees to donate regularly at the most convenient donor center to their home or work. These programs create a positive and motivating work environment for the organization.

The American Red Cross mission to save lives by supplying hospitals with a safe blood supply.

- Share the impact that a business can have if they host an employee blood drive, challenge another company…
- Discuss the fears people have around giving a blood donation and what might or might not be known about donating blood.
- The importance of community involvement and the impact local blood drives have on the ongoing blood supply.

United Way of Androscoggin County will be collecting canned goods and non-perishables for their Pantry Project. Please consider donating.
