A Day For Makers in LA
A Day For Makers in LA
Who should attend:
Artists! Craftspeople! Come discover a new opportunity to set up studios and/or retail spaces in downtown Lewiston—an opportunity to work and market your work in a community of the most creative makers in Lewiston-Auburn. The street level of the new Hartley Block is being designed for makers, and you have the chance to explore these spaces and learn about the terms and possibilities for occupying one of them. Come to the Hartley Block, 155 Lisbon Street in Lewiston, on Saturday, May 18 for a tour and discussions from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Meet and talk to Nathan Szanton, the developer of the building. Meet local artists who will discuss what brought them to set up shop in downtown Lewiston—and tour their spaces nearby. Learn about resources for getting started as a creative maker in this community. Adjourn to a local brewery to pose questions and exchange ideas with fellow creators.
This event is sponsored by the L-A Metro Chamber of Commerce and L/A Arts, under a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
