HR Thursdays ~ "5 Generations in the Workplace: Making them All Work for You"
HR Thursdays: 5 Generations in the Workplace: Making them All Work for You"
Presented by: Mary LaFontaine, Maine Department of Labor
HR Thursday: “Five Generations in the Workplace: Making Them All Work for You”. We still have members of the Greatest Generation (born before 1946) in our workplaces and our newest generation has arrived: Generation Z (born after 1997). How do we recruit, manage and retain the diversity that comes with five generations? Mary will lead an interactive conversation that will give you new information and the opportunity to share your best practices with the group.
HR Thursdays are presented in partnership with the LA Metro Chamber of Commerce, Central Maine Human Resource Association and the Lewiston CareerCenter and offer employers resources and tools to help gain a competitive edge. Presenters will share best practices to businesses owners, HR staff and hiring managers in order to create meaningful recruitment, training, and retention strategies. HR Thursdays allow participants, whether employers of one employee or 1500, gain information needed to survive the labor shortage while giving tangible, and usable, tools and resources.
Presenter, Mary Kozicki LaFontaine, Regional Director of the Southern CareerCenters for the Maine Department of Labor, has thirty years’ experience in the private and public sectors; prior to her current position she managed the Lewiston CareerCenter. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Masters in Adult Education from the University of Southern Maine. In addition, she teaches at USM-LAC and is Chair of the Central Maine Human Resources Association.
