Grant Writing Academy
The Workforce Development Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a Grant Writing Academy on three Fridays, October 13, 20 and November 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Grant Writing Academy prepares leaders in the nonprofit arena to develop effective funding requests. This seminar is for both beginners who seek a thorough overview of the grant-seeking process and for more experienced practitioners who seek to build a stronger resource base. Participants will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of project design; how to prepare effective written proposals; how to develop a plan to seek support; and the steps involved to identify prospective funding sources.
