Emergency Preparedness Course for Businesses
The Center for Workforce & Professional Development at Central Maine Community College (CMCC) will offer an Emergency Preparedness course on Wednesday, August 24 from 9:00 a.m.to 3:00 p.m. This course is designed to help participants to know what to do when there is an "active shooter" situation. Join the CMCC Security department to learn best practices, enhanced lock-down procedures and learn how to draft an emergency management plan for a potentially dangerous event. Training topics include: active shooters, bomb threats, characteristics of terrorists, plan management, keys to emergency communication, and many other things to assist businesses in preparing for emergency situations. Registration deadline is August 17. .
