Basic LIfe Support Certification (AHA)
This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals with the skills to keep people alive until they can be brought to a hospital or be treated with more advanced lifesaving measures.
This four-hour course covers adult and pediatric CPR, use of the bag-valve mask, airway obstruction, automated external defibrillation (with child AED update), stroke and cardiac arrest and other special resuscitation situations.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
